Where is the Wild West Today – October 14th, 2006
Well it is Saturday, October 14th, 2006. A quiet Saturday. just hanging out watching Kill Bill again. Updating the site a bit. How goes the Wild West though? Well, it is slow, very very slow. We continue to search for Investors and Sponsors for the GMT US Tour, but it is a challenge. In August we did put together a brief business plan, and search continues. Finally we will give a shot to our idea of advertising in the NY Times.
On a different front, we have been searching for a venue. We have gotten some interest from a few places. One saying to check with them in Decmeber. Another in Stamford and a few I am still calling after. Original music is a bitch to sell to venues.
Now there is good news. Slunt is playing the UK as I type, a new album coming out and will be back in NYC at the end of te month. Honor Among Thieves and the X’s are again playing together over at a joint in NJ on the 28th of October. And Lourds is doing several shows wth Life of Agony and Suicide City, including that amazing theater,the chance, up in Poughkeepsie.
And the New Professionals, or what is perhaps now karen Curious and the New Professionals had one of their tunes used by the youtube phenom, lonelygirl15. to check that out, go to = http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn9J2K4UMR8 . Certainly different.
Anyway, things wil come together. In the meantime, do get the GMT album out Monday, October 16, and hopefully we will get to see AntiProduct over in Ohio at the end of the month! the first show AntiProduct will have done in the US.
